Good movie. River however could have ended it all if she would have just stepped up like she did in the end. Looks like she could control her powers. Here are the things I didn't like.

They kill off Shepherd Book. Uncalled for. Very Unnecessary. He wasn't even on Serenity anymore.

They kill off Wash. Uncalled for.

The Operative lived. (I think River could have taken out the Alliance without him calling them off.)

GRRR!! Capatain Mal and Inara should have just hooked up to get all that tension out of the way!! rotfl

actually it was called for, that is where the crew went for a safe haven, that was not their only safe haven either so the parliament destroyed all who were in alliance with Mal and his crew.

Not really, someone had to go, it was a surprising and cinematic way for him to die, didn't see it coming

the powers she possesses are not really something she can trigger on her own all the time, she is a girl, a cute one at that. But she was damaged and made into a living weapon. I think she stepped up as soon as she could, i mean they had to find Miranda first then go after the bad guy.

I still don't agree with Shepherd being killed. They never even explained how he knew so much about the Alliance, and since he knew so much I would have figured he would know what was coming.

Nah, killing Wash was just bad. Sure unexpected, but uncalled for imo.

I don't understand still what they did to River.

You didn't get what Shepherd used to be? He was an assassin with the alliance. Like the operative was . . .

And River, they altered her mind so see feels all and can predict what people say, think, and will do. She basically could win an entire war single handed becasue she would know exactly what the enemies move would be. But it has the side effect of screwing the poor girl up for awhile too.

So did you like the tv series and movie or is not your type?

I loved it tbh and never really found as many issues with it like you have, I just fell in love with River the moment I saw that character really . . . it was an interesting character for Josh to create.

I love these kinds of movies and shows. Star Trek, Star Wars, Fifth Element, Aliens, that right up my alley :D.

However, I found a lot of unresolved issues in the movie. It really needed a season 2 badly. They just killed off main characters without more story to them. The movie was honestly just a closing for the fans on what happens with River but I didn't feel that the show was all about her. It was more about the Captain to me and how he lead the war against the Alliance once and is still trying to take them down. River was not the main character to me but she is an important one. She is now in the hands of Captain Mal and this should really tick off the Alliance. I would like to see where it goes from there.

Even at the T:SCC wiki everyone still talks about Serenity and Firefly all the time lol

For me the movie was a HUGE resolution, my fav character was the star and while the parliament is still after them and there is much potential for more of the story I am glad we learned more about River =)

Yeah there is room for more story. I still don't see that the show is all about River. I think she's a major part but I see it more about Mal. He needs to get back at the Alliance and he could use River for it. But then again, that's how I see it.

I doubt it, all have moved on to other projects and stuff, the DVD I have of Serenity is their 2005 revisited version =)

I like extras in movies, i watch it all b/c if i really like a movie i gotta see as much as i can

they even have a 10 min special video exclusive to the dvd of an interrogation of River!

It's really sad how they seduce the innocent girl into a weapon :(

they put her in a "program" and slowly tricked her into thinking it was something else, then eventually they downright raped her (her mind) and basically violated poor River into an object for war and not a human anymore . . .

Yeah I see now. It's good to see how her character changed gradually. She should've wiped the floor with all those scientists.

Captain Mal was hilarious. He had the most erros. Summer only had that one!! She's sooo pro.

She did so well as a character. She did great in the sword fighting episode, the episode where they steal the gun from Yolanda or whatever her name is, the lesbian scene with the senator, the scene where she blows up the bounty hunter with that stuff that wasn't incense. Very well played character.

not saying I ignored her, I just find characters like River to be more my type, helpless and hurting and needs comfort. I always get happy when the character is fulfilled in the end and no longer hurts from all the pain . . . the movie did that for me =)

Yeah, they are good. I like Kaylee's niceness. She seemed like the kinda girl you can talk to so easily. I remember her from the Disney Channel show Flash Forward. I never saw her again until this show. I remember posting something about that in one of the earlier Firefly posts, when you introduced it to the forum.
