Anyone here like Transformer the movie? The 2nd ones coming out Wednesday, going to the midnight showing of it tonight.

yeah the 1st movie was ok, I most likely won't see this one until awhile.

I actually really thought the movie was done badly, and I've never liked the Cartoons.

Cartoons failed, i never watched anything Transformer based, till the first movie. How though can you say that the movie was poorly done? You don't know a good movie when it slaps you in the face then... I mean, that movie made SO much in the box office... and it was rated the 50th Best movie in 2007... It was an amazing movie...

It seemed to lack a good backbone story for me . . .

About how they were going after something that would help them destroy the word and they had to find a way to stop them...

idk, i just like Movies like this, Star Wars, movies with Super Heros, im just into those movies.

I'm a Transformers fan; I grew up playing with them. The movies could be done a bit better, but, in my opinion, they're pretty good. They just need a little more character focus and less emphasis on explosions. But I like Transformers nonetheless. :)

yeah it was a good movie, just me being story driven i like to have seen a more interesting story than "we're gunna blowed u up unless .. . yeah" rotfl

Actually, I kept pushing off seeing the first one, I never saw it, If I do watch the Sequel, It will have to be after I see the first one.

I beg to differ with the reviews, i went to a midnight showing last night, i enjoyed the movie.

I actually just saw the movie. To put it simply, it was okay. A little too much fighting, and (one thing that shocked me) hardly any of the main robots from first film (save Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Megatron) had lines. Actually, aside from the four mentioned, and possibly one new character, the others didn't have much of a personality. I also found some of the rude sexual jokes unnecessary, such as a robot with two wrecking balls between its legs (very, very unnecessary).

That said, the film does have redeeming qualities. The story is more science fiction-based than the first movie (ancient robots on Earth, ancient machine) with a hint fantasy in it (one character caught between life and death has a dream where he is visited by Transformers from very early in the history of the Universe, as well as the whole Lucifer/Judas-like origin for the new villain). The robot designs were pretty well done, and some of the humor was funny (as in the kind of humor you'd laugh at when watching by yourself, not just when you're with friends). For Transformer fans, there's more Megatron/Starscream arguing, with a nice last line for Starscream, in addition to more Autobot vs. Decepticon fighting. The human actors also do a pretty good job, at least, as well as you can when acting with giant robots.

Overall, as both a movie goer and a Transfan, I'd give it a B-.

well i have not seen the movie yet but I have the score and the music for the movie is really good. The track called 'The Fallen' is dark and awesome sounding.

About the score, is it sold separately from the soundtrack (the music by other artists)? Or are they sold together?

separate, the score is harder to find, the soundtrack is just a bunch of bands that are not from the movie. the score is the real thing.

Yeah, I like scores but some movies have awesome soundtracks.

I really liked the movie. I thought it was a bit better than the first. Too many fighting scenes. It was really long (2hrs, 30mins), I thought. Overall a good movie. I also used to watch the cartoons.
